Sarah is a real estate lawyer who assists clients with a wide range of matters relating to the acquisition, funding, development and disposal of all types of commercial property. Sarah is also a member of Land Law’s management board and heads the Altrincham office.
Sarah areas of expertise include:
- Helping clients with their investment portfolios – dealing with all aspects of the legal work required in relation to the purchase of new assets, completion of new lease arrangements and re-gears and their eventual disposal.
- Specialist transaction terms including rent guarantees, rent top ups, price adjustments, overage, escrow arrangements and (working in conjunction with clients’ specialist tax advisors) capital allowances.
- Development projects guiding clients through the legal process from conception to completion and including dealing with site assembly, preparation and negotiation of development, land promotion and pre-let agreements, and assisting with onward sales.
- Property finance having assisted both institutional lenders and a variety of borrowers in relation to funding for all types of commercial real estate.
Recent notable work experience includes the acquisition of several sites for mixed use development on a subject to planning basis, including dealing with multi developer sites requiring collaboration arrangements, assisting with the onward disposal of development sites to owner occupiers on both a freehold and leasehold basis, acting for landowners in relation to the promotion of green field sites for residential housing, and the sale, purchase and management of investment properties and portfolios including industrial estates, offices and retail premises.
Before joining Land Law LLP in March 2009 Sarah was a salaried partner at Pannone LLP.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys walking in the country with her cocker spaniel, watching reality TV, and sharing nice food and wine with friends and family. Sarah is also developing a keen interest in the decoration and maintenance of historic buildings having chosen (perhaps unwisely) to live in part of a converted Grade II* water mill in Cheshire.
